This is perhaps our most surprising journey in Southern Europe. This trip takes you to authentic Portugal, from beautiful hills to endless vineyards along the Douro River. This 4x4 tour is all about tranquility, enjoying the food, nature, and incredibly beautiful routes. On our trips in Portugal, we seek a balance between driving and exploring. Each day, we'll explore a different area and learn more about local customs, the region, and the people. Dinner is included in this trip, and we'll experience authentic Portuguese cuisine. Our guide, José, will lead us to the smallest restaurants where only the locals eat! Grandma's recipe is the key to delicious meals here. We'll sleep at comfortable campsites in your own (rooftop) tent. The campsites are equipped with modern restrooms and showers, so we'll be ready to hit the road in the morning with renewed enthusiasm. We'll drive through rolling hills and past endless vineyards in the Douro Valley. This 4x4 tour is all about beautiful routes through unspoiled nature and authentic villages, combined with the discovery of traditional Portuguese cuisine. During our travels in Portugal, we consciously seek a balance between driving and exploring. Each day we explore a different area, and our guide will tell you more about the region, its customs, and its inhabitants. Along the way, we'll make various excursions: we'll visit Roman baths, sample local liqueurs and delicacies, discover ancient cave paintings, and, of course, visit a traditional winery—including a tasting!
